Black cats have typically been looked upon as a symbol of evil omens, specifically being suspected of being the familiars of witches, or shape-shifting witches themselves, also often a symbol of Halloween or witchcraft in most Western cultures. Black cats have been maligned, they have also been viewed as good luck in many parts of the world. Despite any superstition, black cats are very affectionate and playful. They equally give their love to their owners and never shy away from being the first one to love you when you are worst.

It is true that in some cultures, black cats are associated with bad luck or evil omens. This fear is rooted in superstition and is largely unfounded. I do not personally fear black cats, as I do not believe in superstitions.
