Why do they have whiskers? What are the use of these whiskers?

They act as antennae in insects . They are sensory organs and serve to transmit impulses such as of pain , heat and so on. They should not be removed as they fall off on their own and regrow too.

Theres a few reasons why cats have whiskers. Cats need them for balance and determining the body’s position. They have sensory cells in the end of the whiskers. So, basically they use them to feel and sense whats around them.
