Raw fish is not good for cats. Raw fish contains thiaminase, an enzyme that can destroy thiamine (Vitamin B1) an essential vitamin B for your cat. So cats eating raw fish regularly will have a thiamine deficiency which can lead to severe health problems. However, cooking or boiling fish can destroy thiaminase in it.

It is not recommended to feed cats raw fish on a regular basis. Raw fish can contain harmful bacteria, parasites, and other toxins that can make cats very sick. Raw fish is not nutritionally balanced and can lead to malnutrition if fed in large quantities. It is best to feed cats a diet of high-quality, nutritionally balanced cat food.

raw fish can contain bacteria that could give your cat food poisoning. Although the 'fresh fish' in the supermarket may seem like a tasty treat for your pet, you should avoid feeding them raw fish just to be on the safe side.

Raw fish can be harmful to cats due to potential parasites, such as tapeworms, and the risk of thiamine deficiency. Cooking fish helps eliminate these risks, making it safer for feline consumption. Additionally, feeding cats a balanced and nutritionally complete cat food is recommended to meet their dietary needs.
