Animals do have instincts. And so do cats. They are appreciative when the litterbox is emptied since they're clean animals naturally.

Cats crave a clean place to eliminate, a cat that uses constantly a dirty litter box is unhappy for them. They can develop painful kidney infections, bladder infections, bladder stones, and urinary tract infections if their litter boxes are dirty. A cat does appreciate you having a clean litter box and won't use it if it's dirty.

yes animals do have some feelings and emotions and so the cats also have feelings they feel happy and get appreciated when you cleans the litter box
