Black cats are often adopted because in most Western cultures their color symbolized Halloween or witchcraft and have typically been looked upon as a symbol of evil omens, specifically being suspected of being the familiars of witches, or actually shape-shifting witches themselves. Despite their reputation, they are unique felines that are known to bring good luck in different countries and have a rich history dating all the way back to the middle ages.

Black cats are least adopted as they are considered a source of evil, to be used by witches, wizards, and mediums, and also by evil forces. Therefore many people from different cultures don't go for the black cat that much.

The color of cat least adopted is typically black. This is likely due to the superstition that black cats are bad luck, which has led to a stigma surrounding them. Additionally, black cats can be harder to photograph and show off in adoption centers, leading to fewer people being drawn to them.

Black cats are often the least adopted. This may be due to superstitions associating them with bad luck or misconceptions about their personalities. However, these beliefs are unfounded, and black cats make wonderful companions just like cats of other colors.
