Cats have evolved a number of adaptations that allow them to detect high-frequency sounds more precisely than humans. Cats have much more sensitive ears than humans, which allow them to hear sounds that are too high for humans to hear. Additionally, cats have an extra set of muscles in their ears which allow them to move their ears in different directions and localize the source of a sound more precisely than humans. This adaptation helps cats to better detect potential prey or threats.
