It just comes naturally ,where the cat eats the grass. Even though there are several theories trying to explain why cats do this. It's just the same way we eat leafy vegetables .

Cats regurgitate when they eat grass because they lack the necessary enzymes to break down vegetable matter. Grass benefits your kitty's life by helping her digestive system. The grass contains folic acid, a vitamin that aids the bloodstream, and is commonly found in human breakfast cereal that includes the same grain mixture. When eaten in moderation and provided it hasn't been treated with any pesticides or herbicides, cats eating grass are completely found.

Cats are not strictly omnivores, but they do occasionally eat grass. This behavior is thought to be a way for cats to supplement their diet with nutrients that are not found in their normal diet. Eating grass may also help cats to expel hairballs or other indigestible items from their stomachs.

Your cat may graze on grass to boost its vitamin levels. Grass contains a nutrient called folic acid, which helps move oxygen through the blood stream. Some experts theorise that eating grass may also help ease sore throats, while others believe cats do it simply because they enjoy the taste and texture.

Cats may eat grass to help with digestion or to induce vomiting, which can eliminate hairballs. While cats are obligate carnivores, they might consume small amounts of vegetation for various reasons, but their primary diet consists of meat
