Your cat may be used to eating dry food. And sometimes due to the storage place, it develops moisture and becomes wet. The cat may lift up its nose and fuss. Store cat's food in good condition.

Loss of appetite is an indicator that your cat is ill, and something is wrong. If your cat is not eating at all for one to two days it could be an emergency, and you should get them to the vet as soon as possible.  They may be a behavioral reason, such as stress, anxiety, or depression, perhaps caused by a change in surroundings. Try to encourage your cat to eat commercially canned food and try adding a little fish oil, chicken broth, tuna juice, or cooked egg.

Cats can be fussy with food due to various reasons, such as dental issues, health problems, or dislike of the food's taste or texture. Experimenting with different foods and consulting a vet can help find a suitable diet.

There are many potential reasons why your cat may be fussy with food. It could be due to stress, a change in environment, or a medical issue. If your cat is not eating, it is important to consult your veterinarian to determine the cause and to ensure your cat is not suffering from an underlying medical condition. Your veterinarian may also recommend changing your cat's diet or providing a special diet to help encourage them to eat.

If your cat suddenly becomes very finicky after not previously displaying that kind of behaviour, or appears to be losing weight you should talk to your vet. Sometimes behaviour that appears fussy can be caused by an underlying medical reason like a dental problem, a digestive upset or hairballs.
