When given in small amounts and safely, it can be eaten by your cat and also play with. Fresh popcorn is not bad for your cat. However, avoid toppings such as salt, caramel, or garlic which have a toxic effect on the cat.

Popcorn is non-toxic to cat consumption, And it should be plain and air-popped popcorn if added butter and salt, which can be cause many health issues. And be mine that can be also a choking hazard and it should be given in small amounts, and don't offer it as a regular snack.

yes if it's only given in a fixed ratio or in a fixed small dosage then it would be safer for the cats but given a lot could get dangerous for the cats

Cats can eat plain, air-popped popcorn in small amounts, but it's not necessary for their diet as they are obligate carnivores and require a high-protein diet. Some cats may not like the taste or texture of popcorn.

It is not good for them, but it’s not toxic to them. Popcorn has no nutrition for cats. If your cat has a few pieces that’s fine but you’re supposed to avoid giving it to them often.

It is not recommended to feed popcorn to cats. Popcorn can be a choking hazard for cats, and can also cause gastrointestinal upset. Additionally, popcorn is high in salt and can be unhealthy for cats if fed in large amounts. If you want to give your cat a treat, it is best to consult a veterinarian for advice on appropriate treats.

While small amounts of plain, air-popped popcorn might be okay for some cats as an occasional treat, it's important to be cautious. Remove any added salt, butter, or seasonings, as they can be harmful to cats. Monitor your cat for any signs of digestive upset, and if unsure, consult with your vet before introducing popcorn to their diet.
