I do think that they can feel the unconditional love from us. Even stray cats can feel it when being adopted. I used to have one and lost him two years ago. But then, he felt the care and love from me. It tends to be clingy in the long run. The sad part is he ran away when we moved to another place.

Affection and love is something that every animal enjoys be it wild or domesticated I agree with you

Yes, I think they do feel the love that we have for them and they most of the time reciprocate back. They tend to be clingy if they feel loved.

Cats understand affection just like any other animal and feel affection for humans. They have a lot of the same emotions that we do, including liking to be around us and enjoying our presence, and cats are capable of enjoying relationships with us and even love us.

Cats have been shown to recognize and respond to their owners' voices, gestures, and expressions of affection. While it is difficult to know for sure if cats are aware of our love for them, it is likely that cats can sense our emotions and respond to them in kind.

All in all, even the most aloof and brooding cat will be able to pick up on your warmth and devotion. Whether they choose to admit it or not, they can sense when a person loves them (and hates them). So always make sure you're emitting good, kitty-positive vibes, and your cat will be sure to indulge in the lovefest.

Cats may interpret affection through your actions, like petting or feeding, rather than understanding the concept of love in the way humans do. They can form strong bonds with their owners and show signs of attachment
