Torrie comes from the tortoise. This is a type of siamese cat breed that has a coat pattern that is more solid and resembles that of the tortoise shell. It is a result of complicated breeding.

A tortie point cat has striking-looking felines tabbies with patches of red or cream similar to tortoiseshell material. They are not a specific breed, they are mixed American shorthair. And it's created when a female cat carries an orange gene and a male who does not carry the orange gene mate. They are not rare and you can find them through shelters and rescue groups.
