The cat may clingy because calling out to get their owner's attention is quite common or maybe the cause of stress, insecurity, or generalized anxiety. They are not getting enough mental and physical stimulation. Take a time to play with yourself and providing interactive toys to help keep active and entertained throughout the day can help in these cases.

Cats can become clingy as a way of passing some information to their owners. It can be due to being uncomfortable, stressed, or sick. Other times it can be a way of displaying affection. Always be on the lookout and don't avoid any behavior by your cat.
