Some cats prefer to be solitary because they are naturally independent animals. They may also be more comfortable spending time alone, as cats are known to be very sensitive to their environment and may find large groups of people or animals overwhelming. Other cats may be more social because they have been socialized from a young age, or because they have been exposed to other cats and animals in their environment. Additionally, cats may be more social if they have been given plenty of attention and affection from their owners.
