Cats are skilled predators with a number of adaptations that make them effective hunters. Cats have excellent vision, hearing, and sense of smell. They have a flexible spine and can rotate their hind legs up to 180 degrees, allowing them to jump and pounce on their prey. They also have retractable claws, which they use to catch and hold their prey. Cats can stalk their prey silently, and then ambush it with a sudden attack.
