A cat fever coat is a kind of kitten that is born one color and gradually changes into another, rather than color would arise through their genetics. The fever or high stress during a feline pregnancy sometimes produces an effect on kittens known as fever coats. Since the pigmentation of the feline's coats is sensitive to temperature and kittens are in the womb means the pigments in their coats don't get deposited as they normally would.

A "fever coat" in cats refers to a temporary change in fur color or pattern that occurs when a pregnant cat has a fever during a specific stage of pregnancy. This can result in kittens being born with a coat that differs from their permanent adult coat.
