Signs that your cat may be in pain include changes in behavior, such as becoming more withdrawn and hiding, as well as changes in physical appearance, such as hunched posture, increased vocalization, and loss of appetite. You may also notice changes in your cat's gait, such as limping or difficulty jumping. Additionally, your cat may lick or bite at the affected area.
Poor mood and temperament; increased irritability. Vocalisation e.g. frequent unpleasant or urgent sounding meowing, groaning, hissing, growling. When in pain, your cat may actively or passively avoid being handled by either moving away from people or behaving aggressively when approached or touched.
