Yusuf Islam (formerly known as Cat Stevens) is a British singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, humanitarian, and education philanthropist. He is best known for his 1970s hits such as "Peace Train", "Morning Has Broken", and "Wild World". He converted to Islam in 1977 and changed his name from Cat Stevens to Yusuf Islam. He has since become a prominent figure in the Muslim community and has used his platform to promote peace and understanding.
