Cats with heterochromia have two different colored eyes. This condition is caused by a difference in the amount of melanin pigment in each eye, and can occur in both cats and humans. Heterochromia is relatively rare, and is considered a genetic mutation.

Although it's quite rare, a condition called heterochromia can result in cats having two different coloured eyes. These odd-eyed cats typically have one iris (the coloured part of the eye) that's blue while the other is either green, brown or yellow.
