Cats have better night vision than humans due to the structure of their eyes. Their pupils can open much wider than ours, allowing more light in. They also have a reflective layer of cells behind the retina, which reflects light back through the retina, giving cats a second chance to process the light. However, cats do not have the same color vision as humans, as they lack cone cells in their eyes. Cats can only see shades of blue and green.
