The Cat Fanciers' Association (CFA) recognizes 41 different breeds of cats. These breeds range from the popular Persian and Maine Coon to the more exotic Bengal and Somali. The CFA is the world's largest registry of pedigreed cats and works to promote the health and welfare of all cats.
