Cats perceive the world through their senses, like sight, hearing, smell, and touch. They have a different range of vision than humans, with a wider peripheral vision, better night vision, and less ability to distinguish colors. Cats have an excellent sense of hearing, with a range of frequencies twice that of humans. They have an extraordinary sense of smell, with a sense of smell about 14 times greater than humans. Cats also have a heightened sense of touch, with more sensitive whiskers and more sensitive paws. Cats also have a better sense of balance and spatial awareness than humans.
