They cannot see in total darkness, unlike humans. However, in low-level light, they can see as their eyes have adaptive cells that enable them to see well.

Cats can be in the dark, they use three clever evolutionary adaptions to allow them to do this. Cats are crepuscular which means they are more active during twilight. This is because they have more receptors in their eyes called rods, which help them to see six to eight times better than we can in the dark.

no, the cats don't see full darker like the humans as the cat's eyes are sharper and they have night vision and they can see well in the dark just like the owls

No, cats cannot see in total darkness. Cats have excellent night vision, but they still need some light in order to see. Cats have a reflective layer in the back of their eyes called the tapetum lucidum, which helps them to see better in low light conditions.

The truth is that cats cannot see in absolute darkness any more than we can. However, they are much better adapted than humans for seeing in low levels of light. They use three clever evolutionary adaptations to allow them to do this. First, as compared to a human eye, the cat eye can let in several times more light.

Cats cannot see in complete darkness, but they have better night vision than humans. Their eyes are adapted to low light conditions, thanks to a layer of cells called the tapetum lucidum, which enhances their ability to see in dim light
