Cats have excellent night vision and can see in very low light conditions. They have a specialized structure in their eyes called the tapetum lucidum, which reflects light back through their retina, allowing them to see even in near-complete darkness. However, they still need some source of light to see in total darkness, such as a tiny bit of light from the moon or stars.

Cats have excellent night vision and can see in low light conditions due to their enhanced ability to detect and amplify light. While they can't see in complete darkness, their vision is far superior to that of humans in low-light environments.
